This is The Coffeehouse.

It’s for you if you have things you want to write or talk about, but:

• you’re not sure where to start
• you sit down to write and think ‘who am I to say this?’ or ‘why would anyone pay attention to me?’
• you start writing but never finish, or you do but then don’t share your work.

I’m creating it because:

I think the silent majority are the people who want to talk about ordinary life. The life that doesn’t get seen. The issues that don’t get spoken about because either we all think we’re all in the same boat, or because, well, we just don’t talk about that.

I believe writing is a great way to think your way through issues. It lets you explore, express yourself, and find out new things.

We live in a world which keeps going faster. And now AI lets us go so fast, we don’t even have to sit and think.

I’d like us to take a step back. Further. Sit down. Pause. Have a chat. Then reflect on what you’ve heard and write about it.

That’s The Coffeehouse.

How does it work?

Two meetings a month on Zoom. One where we talk about a topic, the other where you bring something along you want to contribute to the conversation.

You write in between. Don’t worry if you think you’re not a writer, or you haven’t written much. I’ll guide you. I’ll also read what you’ve written and edit it for you (in a nice way, no red pen or grammar rules) so you build confidence.

Along the way, we’ll write a book together.

The programme runs from September to July and is split into three terms.

Membership is £1800 for the year. There’s a 10 month payment plan available until August 31st. There is also a 6 month payment plan available.
